white. black. part II
My faves from today. Its been tiring, 36 shots over one weekend is not easy feat with the 10 design elements to fulfil. But got some shots that I really like, so just hoping that they'll turn out well on film. Tomorrow i develop my own film in the darkroom!!

Huge Trees in Angkor Thom
We head to this unfinished temple just before getting lunch. Apparently the structure was struck by lightning while it was being constructed and it was hence abandoned amidst superstitions that it was bad luck.

After lunch, to Angkor Thom we went. The trees here were huge! The roots already towered above 2metres. Apparently Angelina Jolie filmed Tomb Raider in this area.

One of my fave pics, my Sigma 10-20mm at work.

Angkor Wat & Bayon
Siem Reap 7am
We were greeted by our trusty driver, here's Bun Han who will bring us around for the next 3 days. My colleague travelled with him just some weeks back and introduced him to me. After a few emails, it was settled that he would meet us at the airport.

First stop was to Angkor Wat. Here we are still outside the main temple and the moats are partially filled with water as the rainy season just started.

Intricate Carvings and Beautiful Statue

Steep Steps that I have come to realise I'm rather terrified of. Haha.. bad sense of balance?

And finally we approach the main towers, unfortunately there was some scaffolding due to restoration works.

Next we headed to Bayon Temple where the almost all its facade was carved with buddhas faces.

The carving on the walls were a semblance of what we saw in egypt.

There was a photoshoot in progress and I caught a few shots of this beautiful woman. There I was perspiring away and she just looked resplendent and flawless.

Aha, few words from me, suppose I really should'nt be blogging at 12.56am. Thats all for now. I am off to bed.

Of Courses..
Yep, i'd reckon i'm mad too..
Been on course since December last year, 1st was my photography course at PSS for 12 weeks from Dec07-Mar08, then Mar-Jun was the certificate course in 3D modelling, texturing and animation. And now, i'm just back from my first lesson for my Cert course in photography which will run for the next 20 weeks till November.
So far seems like fun, today's lecturer will be teaching Black & White Film Photography and I'll get to develop my own film! Looking forward to interesting times ahead! =)

Lightly toasted
Back from my 3 day escapade to Siem Reap. It was a rather different experience this time as we travelled around in a tuk-tuk. Dusty and sometimes bumpy but overall quite fun and exciting too, who needs roller-coaster rides when you can ride on a tuk-tuk?
Aftermath of it is that I'm now lightly toasted on my right, all red from sunburn but just mainly on the right as I sat on the right of the tuk-tuk. Yep, on hindsight, should have switched place with the Husband to get an even tan.
*yawn* thats all for now, more updates and pictures soon..

Around City Hall
Went out shooting with this bunch of people today. Sky was overcast in the morning but luckily we stuck to schedule and got to City Hall around 10.30am. The sun was not taking a break after all and we managed to get some shots done.
